FAQs
What happens in the first session?
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and gently explore what has brought you to counselling. There is no pressure to share everything straight away, and we will go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
How often will sessions be?
Most clients attend weekly sessions, as regular therapy can help build safety, consistency, and trust within the therapeutic relationship. However, once the therapeutic relationship is established, and dependent on how therapy is going, some clients move to fortnightly sessions. I have also have clients who see me monthly or ad hoc after initial goals for therapy are achieved.
