My Approach
My approach is trauma-informed, rooted in trust and creating safety, and I work collaboratively with clients to build a strong therapeutic relationship. I trained as an Integrative Psychotherapist, meaning I blend different therapeutic ways of working, to create a tailored approach as unique as you are. These may include psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), humanistic therapy, and numerous creative techniques, amongst others.
Some therapists prefer to remain a blank slate, and that can be the right fit for many clients. Other clients value a therapist who brings transparency about their lived experience. My belief is that clients should have the agency to choose what (and therefore who) feels right for them.
As a survivor of complex trauma, I understand that for some, knowing their therapist has lived through mental health challenges may not be what they are looking for - and that's okay. If authenticity acquired from experiential knowledge sounds helpful for you, I am here to offer a safe space where you can feel seen, heard, respected and supported.
